Open the Plex app on your TV and select Sign In to get a 4-character code. On your phone or computer, go to plex.tv/link, sign in to your Plex account, enter the code, and select Link. Your TV connects in a few seconds.

Note the 4-character code

Go to plex.tv/link on another device

On your phone, tablet, or computer, open a browser and go to https://plex.tv/link. Sign in to the same Plex account you want to use on the TV.

Enter the code and select Link

Type the code exactly as shown and submit. The TV app refreshes and signs in automatically.

Many TVs also show a QR code next to the link code. Scan it with your phone camera to open the link page directly.
  • Find and connect to your own or shared Plex Media Server
  • Use Plex on smart TVs, PlayStation, and Xbox, which need a signed-in app
  • Use Plex Pass features if you subscribe
  • Watch your library away from home (when Remote Access is set up)
